D&D 5th Edition Half-orc subraces

Give Half-orcs the respect they deserve!

In all previous editions, and in 5th as well, orcs were treated as the bastard children of the game. In 3.5 orcs had negative stat modifiers, and thankfully that has disappeared, they are still not equal to more beautiful races in options. There are many subraces of orc, as well as elves, but their descendants don't get this type of luxury... Well, I am going to change that!

With this homebrew supplement, you will find that half-orcs have the same number of options than those weak fancy pants elves!

The standard orc racial traits will be reduced to:

Ability Score Increase: Your Strength score increases by 2.
Age: Half-orcs mature a little faster than humans, reaching adulthood around age 14, they agre noticeably faster and rarely live longer than 75 years.
Alignment: Half-orcs inherit a tendency toward chaos from their orc parents and are not strongly inclined toward good. Half-orcs raised among orcs and willing to live out their lives among them are usually evil
Size: Half-orcs are somewhat larger and bulkier than humans, and they range from 5 to well over 6 feet tall. Your size is medium.
Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet
Darkvision: Thanks to your orc blood you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of grey
Relentless Endurance: When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. You can't use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
Languages: You can speak, read and write common, and Orc.

Mountain Half-orc (the traditional Half-orc)

These half-orcs are the most common variation of half-orcs, they are the offspring of mountain orcs, who often raid villages and caravans. Savage and strong, these half-orcs gain the following racial traits:

Ability score increase: Your Constitution score increases by 1
Savage Attacks: When you score a critical hit with a melee weapon, you can roll one of the weapon's damage dice one additional time and add it to the extra damage of the critical hit
Menacing: You gain proficiency in the intimidation skill

Grey Half-orc

The nomadic grey orcs of the East are less wild and filled with rage than their mountain dwelling cousins, as their connection to Gruumsh is less prominent. They are more likely to listen to reason and logic and these features are inherited by their offspring. Grey Half-orcs have brighter skin color and smaller tusks, and their facial features slightly resemble a wolfish creature.

Ability score increase: Your Wisdom score increases by 1, and your Dexterity score increases by 1
Keen senses: You have proficiency in the perception skill
Orc Weapon training: You gain proficiency with Greatclubs, Battleaxes and Greataxes

Half Orog

These half-orcs are the offspring of the mighty Orog, the great and powerful orcs hailing from the Underdark. Orog Half-orcs are very rare, as Orogs rarely take human women, but the ones that are born usually rise to great prominence. Half Orogs are hardier than other half-orcs and they see better in the dark

Ability score increase: Your Constitution score increases by 2
Superior Darkvision: Your darkvision has a range of 120 feet

Happy Holidays! Orcs rule!
